MIA works very hard at maintaining our reputation to settle claims in a timely manner, with fair and equitable settlements. Our experienced and dedicated claims staff are here to help when the need arises. No one looks forward to having a loss, but should one occur, we want our clients to feel secure knowing that we are here to assist them.
All claims are supervised directly by MIA’s Home Office staff. Upon notification of a loss, MIA’s claim representative will contact the insured within 24 hours to confirm receipt. If necessary, we will assign a local independent adjuster in the insured’s area for immediate handling. We use only experienced adjusters with knowledge of the type of claim being presented and who are familiar with the insured’s area.
We have a business relationship with several vendors around the country to assist in the handling of the claim at the local level if needed. This will ensure a quick claims response and faster payments to get you back on your feet.
The next day we send an acknowledgement letter including the name, address and phone number of the local adjuster to the insured. We will also include the name of MIA’s Home Office examiner assigned to the particular claim, should you need to contact them.
